The average life expectancy of American men is 76 years, and that of women is 81 years. Within its lifetime, on average, people are expected to spend more than 50 years in school and work, except for 20-30 years of childhood and retirement.
Note the following chart. (This chart is based on data from Wait But Why, based on data from Gallup, the Pew Research Center, the Baby Center, and the US Census Bureaud, and federal aggregate data from forbes.)
Here are some interesting facts about the average American life that you can expect on the chart.
1. Americans live more than 40 years longer than the Sierra Leone!
Like many developing countries, Sierra Leone’s low life expectancy is due to very high infant mortality rates. This is a factor that lowers the overall average of life expectancy in Siberia, but fortunately, worldwide infant mortality is very low and life expectancy is increasing.
2. The marriage of Americans is getting late!
According to a survey by the Pew Research Center, American males were 22 years old in 1960 but married at age 28 in 2011. This change is first explained by the economic downturn. This is because it is a factor to postpone marriage to those who think that the economic basis of marriage should be set before marriage. Next, the number of graduates is increasing. In other words, it takes time to graduate from university. Finally, there is an increasing number of people who want to get married late. Due to these factors, marriages in the United States are gradually being delayed.
3. The average marriage period in the United States is seven years!
Surprisingly, according to federal data, these numbers are as old as 1867. According to Psychology Today, it is said that this is the seventh year of boredom. This means a time when people become disgusted when they are over seven years old.
4. The first pregnancy of American women is getting late!
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, women gradually become pregnant by the age of 35 or older.
5. The average retirement age has risen!
According to Gallup, the average retirement age from 1991 to 1993 was 57 and rose to 62 by 2014.
So if you look at the chart above and you want to live a different life than Americans
You can get married early and retire.
